Faedon E. Xydis, 88, of Wayne, PA on December 13, 2016.
Born in Greece in 1928 he was the son of the late Evangelos P. and Eleni (nee Evangelides) Xydis. Don graduated from the Columbia University with his Master's Degree in Engineering. He had a 31 year career at the missile and space division of General Electric, designing, building, and flying space hardware for communications satellites in Philadelphia, Syracuse, and Valley Forge.
Don was the beloved husband of Eugenia Xydis (nee Carafides), with whom he shared 59 years of marriage; loving father of Evangelos F. Xydis (Colleen M.), Elaine N. Lipka (John), and Jason F. Xydis (Kelly C.); devoted grandfather of Christopher, Shannon, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Ethan, Justin, and Nina. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Services and interment will be determined at a future date.
