Ferdinando Mannella, age 86, of Havertown, PA, formerly of the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully Friday October 27th, 2023.
Born in his beloved South Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Angelo and Jean (née Classetti) Mannella.
Ferdinando was a person that people were drawn to. People surrounded him by the sounds of his laughter and jokes. He was the social type at any event attended; not on purpose, but it was in his nature to always be the life of the party.
Not only was Ferdinando most important in these ways, he was a loyal man. Loyal to his friends and there is nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. He was a Frank Sinatra lover, one of his favorite songs being, “I Did It My Way,” which was very fitting for his positive outlook on life.
Ferdinando was the beloved husband of Loretta (née Carbone) Mannella; the loving father of John (Carolyn) Loretta DeFeo (Richard), Diane Moffa, Stephen Mannella (Annie), Susan Weimer (Kevin), and Joseph Mannella (Diane). He was the dedicated grandfather of Daniel, Allison, Deana, Samantha, Danielle, Victoria, Olivia, Skyler, London, Marissa, Julia, Robert, Stephen, Michael, Cameron, and Joseph, as well as the dear great-grandfather of Ellie, Parker, Daniel, Nicolette, Vinny, Anthony, Dominic, and Jaxson. Ferdinando is also survived by his sister, Jeanette Million, and was predeceased by his sister, Lucia Ciallella.
