Florence E. “Lyn” Medica (nee Yeager), age 87, of Havertown, PA, passed away on December 12, 2024 peacefully at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Franklin A. and Florence E. Yeager (nee McClain).
She was the oldest of four children. Lyn graduated Sharon Hill High school in 1955. She worked for the Atlantic Refining Company for several years before getting married and starting a family. She continued her career as an administrative assistant to a cardiac surgeon at Lankenau hospital followed by a neurosurgeon at Jefferson. Her hobbies were bowling, stamp collecting, gardening and she was an avid reader. She was a devoted member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she was an alto in the choir and performed various roles and duties over her decades long membership. Lyn loved spending time at Lake Wallenpaupack where she enjoyed many beach days, boat rides and sunsets with family and friends. Lyn was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and never forgot to dress in her appropriate attire for the day depending on who was playing.
It was widely known that Lyn loved food and that dinner was an essential part of her day. She was famous for her creative casseroles where she showcased her culinary expertise by never letting leftovers go to waste. Her favorite restaurant was The Clam Tavern in Clifton Heights where she reminisced about her parents and always had trouble deciding what to get because “everything looks good.”

McAllister (Mike); adoring grandmother of Allyson (Jimmy), Michael (Kate), Charlie, Elizabeth, Finn, and Joseph; caring great-grandmother of Liam. Also survived by her sister, Sandra Ann Yeager.
