Florence "Pee Wee" (nee Fulcomer) on September 21, 2014 at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Michael W. Salata. Loving mother of Michele Ross (Sam) and Gregory Salata (the late Donna). Cherished grandmother of Teela Ross Decker (Scott), Evan M. Ross, Olivia and Amanda Salata.
Born in Derry, PA to Henry Raymond Fulcomer and Lulu Zatella Blair. The ninth of ten children. Survived by her youngest brother, James Kenneth Fulcomer (Larene) and youngest sister, Dorothy "Janie" Callahan, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She attended Derry Borough High School and graduated in 1949 from Ohio Valley School of Nursing, Steubenville, Ohio. She worked as a psychiatric nurse for over 50 years in the Philadelphia area, and made her home since 1958 in Newtown Square.
Besides her family, friends, home and cherished possessions, Pee Wee's compassionate care of those suffering with mental illness kept her working until the age of 71. Finally retiring from Crozer-Chester Hospital in 1999.
Services and Interment are Private.
