Florence Ann Tate (Acquarola), age 88, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully at home in North Carolina on September 1, 2017.
Florence was born in Darby, PA in 1928. In her younger years, she worked for The Bell Telephone Company and then as a sales associate in the fine jewelry department at Weinberg's Department Store in Manoa, PA. She enjoyed bowling and was on the Sproul Lanes Bowling Team in Springfield, PA for many years. She also loved cooking, dancing, and gardening.
Florence is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Gail Crosson (Jay), William J. Tate, III (Layne), Lynn Hess (the late Raymond), and Debra Choate (Jim), her nine cherished grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Eleanor and Gloria, and a younger brother, Victor. Florence is predeceased by six siblings: Loretta, Nicholas, Pete, Mary, Lena, and Francis.
Relatives and friends are invited to Florence's visitation on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by her memorial service at 12 p.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, (610) 353-6300.
