Frances Marie Fehr

Frances “Frankie” Marie Fehr, age 74, passed away on August 13, 2024, beloved daughter to the late Eilert Brechter and Marie Francis (nee Pitkin) Fehr.

Frankie is survived by her loving siblings, Julia Ann Rodacker (Marvin), Jon Fehr (Gloria), Jean Narksompong, Alan Fehr (Kris), and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Ferdinand Fehr and infant sister Karen May Fehr.

She attended grade school in Manfred, ND, graduated from high school in Fessenden, ND, and earned a BA in Theatre Arts from Jamestown College.

Frankie graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in Costume Design from Temple University in 1979. From there she went to the Pennsylvania Ballet and worked as the costumer, designing and constructing ballet costumes. She also designed and made costumes for Philadanco, Philadelphia Drama Guild, Philadelphia Theater Company, Studio 2, Villanova University & Drexel University. In the late 80’s Frankie worked for IATSE local 799 dressing and sewing. In 1992 she started working as a wardrobe supervisor on the touring company of Phantom of the Opera. When the Phantom closed, she settled in Rosemont, Pennsylvania and worked for the local wardrobe union again, dressing and sewing at the Kimmel Center & Annenberg Center.

 She enjoyed being with her friends and family, gardening, skiing, baking, reading, watching movies and doing crosswords.

Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering to celebrate Frankie on Monday, August 19, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 West Lancaster Ave, Wayne, PA at 11:00 AM.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at her childhood home community in North Dakota.
