Frances Lydon

April 5, 1925 — May 15, 2019

Frances M. Lydon (nee Ford), 94, of Broomall, PA, passed away on May 15, 2019.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1925, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (nee Devlin) Ford. She was raised by her grandmother and aunt "Sissie" in a loving home with her uncles and cousins. Frances was a strong Catholic who loved everyone and prayed the rosary every day. She was a loyal friend and was devoted to her family. She instilled in her children the importance of staying close.

As the kids grew up and moved away, weekly Sunday dinners became a tradition in the Lydon home.

Frances and her husband loved to spend time together, be it vacations to Wildwood Crest or Florida, taking a cruise, watching t.v. together or just sitting on the back porch saying their prayers. She made every holiday special for her family and friends, decorating the house and baking a holiday desert.

Frances was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Lydon; loving mother of Ed Lydon (Frani), Joe Lydon (Anne), Marie Longaker (Jim), and the late Elizabeth Funkhouser (John); also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Mary Ryan, William Ford, and Joe Ford.
