Frances E. Zirpoli

Frances E. Zirpoli (nee Iezzi), age 98, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on January 3, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Lucia Iezzi (nee Tini). 

Frances was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Zirpoli; loving mother of Richard Zirpoli (Shannon), Judy DiMaio (Tom), and the late Carol Reel (Charles); adoring grandmother of Anthony Salter, Aaron Salter, Andrew Reel, Sarah DiMaio Weimer, Ryan DiMaio, Gabriel Zirpoli, and Garrett Zirpoli; affectionate great grandmother to Owen Weimer. She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Cimini, Carmen Iezzi, and Louis Iezzi.

Frances worked at John A. Robbins until she was 80 years old as an Administrative Assistant. She took pride in her work and befriended many people throughout her years there. Because of her dedication and friendships, she had a difficult time resigning. 

Throughout her life, Frances also enjoyed reading, playing cards and other games, particularly Mahjong. She became an expert at Mahjong and began teaching others to play. She also was a skilled seamstress, crocheter and knitter and used these talents for charitable events. 

Travel was another cherished aspect of Frances’ life, each adventure broadening her horizons and enriching her experiences. Her journeys took her to places where she absorbed cultures, tastes, and traditions, leaving her with many memories that she would share with enthusiasm and warmth.

Family and friends are invited to Frances’ Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM; service to follow on Friday, January 10, 2025 at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA 19070. Burial will be private.
