Francine Rossetti (nee Andreottola), 70, of Downingtown, PA passed away on July 21, 2013 at St. Martha Manor.
Born in August 1942 in Newark, NJ, Fran was the daughter of Sam and Grace Andreottola. Fran was the second oldest child with siblings, Michael, Anthony and Linda. Her father worked for the city and because her mother was disabled, Fran did most of the work caring for the family. She attended Catholic schools and worked for Tung Soi in Newark, NJ doing assembly work.
When Fran was about 20 years old, while visiting her brother, Michael, she met Bill Rossetti. Bill lived downstairs and was also visiting Michael at the time. They were attracted to each other and dated steadily for about two years. They were married in Elkton, MD in 1964.
After marriage, Fran worked for the Piscataway, NJ School System in the cafeteria. Her husband, Bill, relocated many times for Unisys Corporation, finally landing in Pennsylvania. Fran worked for Deluxe Check Printing in Paoli, PA as a proof reader for final approval of documents.
She and her husband traveled the US hiking and exploring new areas. Fran liked the outdoors. Her hobbies included cooking, baking and crocheting.
Most recently she and her husband enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Even though Fran was partially paralyzed by a brain tumor operation in 1999, she traveled with her husband's help until 2010. She entered St. Martha Manor in 2011.
In addition to her husband, Fran is survived by two children, Francine Cobb and Nicholas Rossetti, three grandchildren, Kim Calderwood, Sydney and Sophia Rossetti and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Landon Calderwood.
