Born in Bronx, NY, Francis was the son of the late Salvatore and Amy (D'Angelo) Acampora.
He was a graduate of Long Island University where he earned his degree in Bio Chemistry. He worked as a USDA Inspector for the US Department of Agriculture.
Francis was an avid boater, who also enjoyed skiing and speed casting as a young adult.
He was predeceased by his first wfe.
Francis was the beloved husband of Ruth C. (Flood) Adams Acampora; loving father of Diane Acampora, Michael Acampora (Shannon) and Laura Acampora; dear grandfather of Angelina, Jaclynn and Anthony; dear brother of Joan Heaney (Paul).
