Francis A. Bastianelli

Francis A. “Fran” Bastianelli, 75, passed away February 14, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved son of the late Guido and Olga (nee Rossi) Bastianelli.

Fran is survived by his loving wife, Lydia A. (nee Capraro) Bastianelli; beloved brother, Michael J. Bastianelli (Donna); his dear niece and nephew, Stephanie Poinsett (Brian) and Michael Bastianelli (Korinne); his dear nieces Lynne Marie (née Capraro) Cona (Michael J), and Frances N. (née Capraro) Stromberg (Tom); many cousins, great nieces and nephews, and close family and friends. Fran was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Nicholas J Capraro (Patricia).

Fran graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1966 and continued his education at St. Bernard’s College in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated with a degree in history and a minor in psychology. He was a member of the Union of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators with Local 14. 

In his free time he enjoyed tutoring, gardening, and hanging out with family. He loved animals, nature, and especially feeding the birds. Fran loved traveling and places that held his heart were the Jersey Shore, Massachusetts, and Italy! 

Services and interment are private. A Celebration of Life will take place on 7/20/24.  .
