Francis A. Daly, age 84, of Media, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on July 15, 2019.
Born in 1935, Francis grew up in St. John's Orphanage, Philadelphia, PA. He was a graduate of St. Tommy More and Temple University and worked as a plant manager at SmithKline Pharmaceuticals. Francis enjoyed playing golf, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Ellen (nee Lamberton) Daly, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage; loving father of Michael Daly (Janet), Mary Ellen Poissant (Matthew), Frank Daly (Karen), Robert Daly (Julie), and Patty Dunne (Jeff); predeceased by his siblings, John, Eileen, and Winifred Daly; also survived by 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 6-8 PM Friday, July 19, 2019 and 9-10 AM Saturday at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Joseph's Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031, would be appreciated.
