Francis "Frankie" Gary Barnes

Francis Gary Barnes “Frankie”, 55, of Boothwyn, PA passed away on October 7, 2023 peacefully at home. He was the beloved son of the late Gordon & Anastasia (Latini) Barnes.

Frankie was a member of the Don Guanella family and a long-time resident of The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence ​since October 1989 first living at the Cardinal Krol Center and, since December 2014 living at his residence in Boothwyn. Frankie loved his holidays and Christmas was an especially favorite one of his as he would relish you with the gifts he was receiving on Christmas.

Frankie loved watching a lot of the classic TV shows. I Love Lucy, Perry Mason, Brady Bunch and That Girl, just to name a few. He loved the beach, enjoyed listening to music and singing as well. Frankie was a member at St. John Fisher church in Boothwyn. He loved attending mass every week. His smile, personality and love of life will be what Frankie is most remembered for. Frankie was a pure pleasure to be around and was loved by everyone who knew him.

Frankie is survived by his brother Charles Barnes, his nephew Joshua Barnes, his niece Clarissa DeHart & her husband James DeHart, and his great neices and nephews, Brittany, Nathan, & Jacob. Also his Don Guanella family, Eric, Kashif, Victor, George, Tyrell, Tyreke and John.

Family and friends are invited to his Visitation on Friday October 13^th at Divine Providence Village Chapel 686 Old Marple Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
