At the age of 92, Francis “Frank” Anthony Giovinazzo passed away on March 3, 2021, at his home in Margate, NJ. His devoted and loving wife, Agnes (nee Iacullo), has been faithfully by his side, throughout their 66 years of marriage. Frank was the father of five children: Tinamarie (Joe) Ventresca, Terry, Frank (Ginny), John (Tammy), and Carolyn (Joe) Chirichella. He was also the proud “Pop” of: Erica (Fil), Frank, Tiamarie (Eric), Joe (Kelly), John Vincent, Joseph, and Anthony. And, he was the Great Grandpop of: Giovanna, Filip, Giancarlo, and Giorgio.
Frank was born in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. He had six siblings who predeceased him (Sally, Nunzie, Tony, George, Mary, and Kay). As a young man, he entered the Army shaping history, as he served his country, with General Dwight D. “Ike” Eisenhower, at the Nuremberg Trials in Germany. After military life, Frank met Agnes and quickly married; they began their selfless, lifetime journey together, spanning more than six decades. With a small bricklaying business that Frank started in his garage in Wyndmoor PA, he grew his passion into a thriving construction company, General Masonry Construction (GMC), with hundreds of employees, building well-known structures and leaving his mark throughout the tri-state area. Frank and his wife spent most of their later years in Villanova and at their shore home in Margate.
