Francis E. Gleason, Sr.

Francis E. Gleason, Sr., 90, of Audubon, PA, formerly of Paoli, PA, passed away on May 15, 2022.

Born in Wilmington, DE in 1932, he was the son of the late Ernest L. and Gertrude (nee Kelleher) Gleason.

Francis was the beloved husband of the late Mary S. “Bobby” (nee Silcox) Gleason; loving father of Francis E. Gleason, Jr. and John M. Gleason (Ruth); adoring grandfather of Sarah J. Gleason; caring brother of the late Mary and the late Anne; dear brother-in-law of Rev. John Silcox, Patricia McHugh, and the late Howard Silcox.

Francis graduated from LaSalle University in 1954. He served honorably in the US Army. Francis worked for Dietzgen Corp. as a Sales Representative in the Blueprint industry for 35 years. After he retired in 1997, Francis and Bobby spent their winters in Siesta Key, FL following Preseason Baseball. He was a longtime avid Flyers fan and season ticket holder. Francis and his wife traveled extensively through Europe after their retirement. One of their favorite places that they visited was Omaha Beach. In 2002, Francis with his love of baseball spent 8 weeks traveling around the country visiting every Major League Baseball stadium.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:00-10:00 AM Monday, May 23, 2022 at St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Road, Paoli, PA 19301, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment private.
