Francis Gulen

Francis A. Gulen, age 75, of Downingtown, passed away on April 25, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Anthony G. and Mary Gulen (nee Gillespie). He was a graduate of Temple University and was employed as a Pharmacist for Wyeth Laboratories for 27 years, retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his children Maria T. Lesher (Timothy) of Portland, OR, Anthony J. Gulen (Andrea) of Collegeville, PA and Michael C. Gulen (Kathleen) of Mount Olive, NJ, his grandchildren Gavin, Eva, Samuel and Nathan and his sister Moria Fennell. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary T. Gulen (nee Kascak).
Mr. Gulen enjoyed working on cars in his youth. He was very family oriented and supportive of his family. He was a very giving, caring and modest man.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, April 30, 2013 7-9 PM and Wednesday, May 1, 2013 9:30-10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA (610) 269-3080 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Francis and the late Mary Gulen's name to Birthright of West Chester, 112 S. High Street, West Chester, PA 19380 would be appreciated.
