Francis X. “Frank” Lepera, 83, of Wayne, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on February 15, 2023.
Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joanne (nee Cicala) Lepera, his children, Debbie Scandone, Warminster, PA, Denise Rominger, Abingdon, MD, Gina Scandone, King of Prussia, PA, and his sister, Barbara Tomlinson (David), East Norriton, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, John Steven Benner, Lauren Rominger-Cyran (Bryan), Alison Rominger, and Sean Rominger (Abby), his great-grandchildren, Julian Stocks, Landon Cyran, Charlotte Cyran, and Finn Rominger, and his nieces and nephews, Francis Tomlinson, Stephen Tomlinson (Donna) and David, Gregory Lepera (Sheryl), Zachery, and Benjamin, and Peter Lepera (Kristen), Joseph, and Isabella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter & Anna Lepera (nee Cavichone), his brother and sister-in-law, Peter & Connie Lepera, Palm Coast, FL, and a son, Michael Lepera, St. Petersburg, FL.
Frank grew up in Conshohocken, PA and graduated from St. Matthew’s in 1957, then attended Pierce Business School in Philadelphia, PA. He worked for 45 years for Acme Markets. Frank started as a produce clerk in 1956. He was a Store Supervisor and a top manager who managed over 8 stores throughout his career. Frank volunteered at Paoli Hospital for 3 years.
He vacationed with his family in Wildwood, NJ and Ocean City, MD for many years. One of his favorite places was the Caribbean. Frank was an avid poker player. He played in numerous tournaments in PA and Atlantic City. He remained in close contact with alumni from the class of ’57. Frank still had 6 friends he started school with and had known for his entire life.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087, 610-989-9600, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and held at a later date.
