Francis Devine

Francis “Frank” P. Devine, Jr. age 66 of Drexel Hill, PA, suddenly passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020.

Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA, the devoted son of the late Frank P. Devine, Sr, and Evelyn Devine (nee Quinn)

Frank was the beloved husband of Dana G. Devine (nee Giovinetti) and predeceased by his beautiful first wife, Joyce Devine (nee Marshall). He was the adored father of UDPD Officer Frank L. Devine and Christopher J. Devine (Nicole). Frank was the loving Poppy to Francis Michael, Colleen Joyce, Ayden Paul and Rowan Harper Devine.

He is survived by devoted sisters, Patrice Stapan (George) and Karen Lanni (Dan). Gone before him were his brothers Michael Devine and Kevin Devine.

Frank was a cherished Uncle to UDPD Lt. Daniel Lanni, (Christina), Patrick Lanni (Kiera), Vincent Lanni (Meaghan) and Frankie Lanni (Maria Dolente). He had just begun to enjoy being a Great-Uncle to Daniel, Juliana, Evelyn, Stella and Gabriel Lanni.

He worked as a Vice-President for PNC Bank and the former Eagle National Bank from which he retired. Frank was a forty year plus member of The Knights of Columbus and a former Grand Knight and District Deputy.  Frank enjoyed his family, woodworking, collecting classic movies, the evolution of digital effects in Science Fiction Movies, a Scotch on the rocks and the collection and recitation of the worst Dad Jokes ever published.

Frank will be sadly missed by many friends, co-workers and extended family members.

Services and interment are private due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  The Funeral Mass for Frank will be livestreamed on  The Donohue Funeral Home Facebook page on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Ave Maria Chapter of The Knights of Columbus in his memory.  Checks can be sent to Ave Maria #4063, c/o 808 Hampshire Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 and will be deeply appreciated.
