Francis J. “Frank” Power, Jr.,69, of Springfield, Pa passed away on January 19, 2020. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary E. Power, his sister Kathy Power and his parents Francis J. and Mary Jane (nee Donohue) Power.
Frank was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner class of “68” and PC Pharmacy in “73”. He worked as a Pharmacist until his retirement. Frank was an avid golfer, volunteering at the US Open. He also volunteered at Elwyn Institute for over 30 years. Frank was a generous, strong, loyal and faithful man who was loved by so many. He enjoyed reading but most of all he enjoyed the weekly dinners with his grandkids and the time that he spent with his entire family. His proudest title would be that of “Poppy”. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Frank is survived by his loving children, Terri Power, Kathleen Dougherty (Brian), Jennifer Ryan (Kevin), Steven Power (Sarah), adoring grandchildren Ruthie, Sean, Molly, Greta, Maura, Keegan, Seamus, caring siblings Jack Power, Patty Helms, Suzi Ulmer, Lorey Keeney and Margie Lawlor.
Family and friends are invited to Frank’s Visitation Wednesday evening January 22, 2020 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home 746 Kedron Ave. Morton, PA 19070 and to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 2130 Franklin Ave. Morton, Pa 19070. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
