With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Francis (Frank) Welsh, who departed from this world on April 12, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Philadelphia on March 18, 1943, Frank embarked on a journey that touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and generosity that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Frank was a graduate of Temple University and veteran of the U.S. Army. He had a thriving 30-year career where he advanced to be the Vice President of Human Resources at ARCO Chemical Company.
Frank’s greatest joy in life was his family. He shared a marriage with the love of his life, Ann Marie, that spanned 54 years. He had four sons Francis (Leslie), John (Kelly), Michael, and Matthew. His grandchildren brought him great joy, and he shared an integral part in the lives of Jack, Eric, Lauren, Morgan, and Ryan. They will forever cherish their memories with him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna, and siblings Jim and Ann.
In his leisure time he enjoyed being with his family and travel, particularly international trips with Ann Marie. He liked Philly sports and fast cars, and after retiring at the age of 55, he relished taking road trips that brought him to every state in the country.
Though Frank may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9:30 am – 10:15 am at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am.
