Frank X. "Frankie" Muto, Sr., 77, of Morgantown, formerly of Downingtown, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his wife and sons on December 18, 2016.
Born in 1939 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frank and Agnes Diamond (nee Jannetti) Muto. In his youth, Frank spent countless days on the Boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. He served his country in the Air National Guard until 1963, and then found his career as an engineer. He was able to enjoy his retirement years in Sea Isle City with his family. His enormous sense of humor and generous heart brought a smile to all who had the chance to meet him. Frank's spirit shared patience and love with the world.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. "Pat" Muto (nee Smith); loving father of Frank X. Muto, Jr. (significant other, Wendy and her children, Dylan and Chloe) and Marco Muto (Nina); devoted Pop-Pop of Alexander and William; dear brother of Marguerite Valentino; predeceased by his brother Michael Muto and his sister Bella Caruso; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 and 9:00-10:00 AM Wednesday, December 28, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, (610-369-3080) followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 460 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery following Mass.
