Franz Johann

Franz J. Johann , 83, of West Chester, PA, passed away on August 2, 2020.

Born in December 1936, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Agnes M. (née Trainer) Johann.

He was the beloved husband for 46 years of the late Lois (née Vowler) Johann; loving father of Thomas Johann (Michele), Robert V. Johann (Hope) and Mark Johann (fiancé, Amanda); devoted grandfather of Alissa, Benjamin and Jake. He was predeceased by his sister, Philomena Wolfington.

Franz served honorably in the US Army 101st Airborne Division, working as a medic and paratrooper.

He was a member of the St. Joseph’s Basketball Team, having played for legendary coach, Dr. Jack Ramsey in his college days.

Franz was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Penn Oaks Golf Club, where he was a member. He enjoyed volunteering his time at Paoli Hospital.

He worked in the Insurance industry and founded his own company, Valley Forge Adjusting.
