Gary L. Snable, 81, of West Brandywine, PA, passed away on October 16, 2018.
Born in Basking Ridge, NJ in 1937, he was the son of the late Myron Adams and Marion Prout Snable. Gary graduated from Princeton University in 1959, following his ROTC scholarship with a short stint in the US Army along with seven years in the National Guard, attaining the rank of Captain. He had a long career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, working for a number of companies including National Drug, Richardson Merrell, and Fujisawa-SmithKline. His passion was as a founder of Layton BioScience in the San Francisco area, an early cellular therapy company focused on treating stroke and traumatic brain injury.
Gary was the beloved husband of Dianne D. Snable for 55 years; loving father of Jay Snable (Laura) and Sara Hagar (Bill); adoring grandfather of Allison Dianne Hagar; dear brother of Nancy Galloway and Robert Snable (Tillie).
