Genevieve Hitchner

Genevieve D. "Gen" (nee Shea), age 94, on December 1, 2013 at Normandie Ridge Care Center in York, PA. Gen was Born and lived most of her life in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late William F. and Jane Shea (nee Conlon). Beloved wife of the late Chester P.Hitchner. Dear mother of William P. Hitchner (Joanna) and Jane E. Higgins (Thomas). Dear grandmother of Kristen E. Hitchner, Esq., William Hitchner and Jennifer Higgins. Sister of Patricia A. Throm and the late Margaret Black.



Gen was a proud 1936 graduate of The Philadelphia High School for Girls. She was retired from Mellon Bank (formerly Girard Trust Co.)



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, December 5, 2013 10:00-11:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA (610) 989-9600 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
