Genevieve Jane Kinsey

In loving memory of Genevieve Jane Kinsey, age 94, of Carmel, whom passed away January 25, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born May 1, 1930 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Michael and Virginia Fiore Donofrio. She was a graduate of Downingtown High School, Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Class of 1948.

On May 26, 1951, she married Harold L. Kinsey. They were married 65 years. They lived in Pennsylvania for several years and then moved to Stow, Ohio in 1969. In 1985, they moved from Ohio to live in Carmel to be near their daughter.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. During her leisure she enjoyed reading, puzzles, and flower gardening. She loved watching NASCAR and Jeff Gordon, and had a great love of all dogs.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Douglas) Ladika of Lebanon, IN; two grandchildren, Michael Smith and Andrea Smith; and five great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Juliette, Holly, Elijah, and Emma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Kinsey; her parents; and two sisters, Teresa Antush and Margaret Groff.

A graveside service will be held in Downingtown, Pennsylvania by the Donohue Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Local funeral arrangements are being cared for by Leppert Mortuary- Carmel Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to your local Humane Society.
