George James Conaghan, age 79, of Broomall, PA, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2023.
Born Doorin, County Donegal, Ireland, he was the son of the late Thomas and Frances (née McLaughlin) Conaghan.
George was a long-time member of the Donegal Association of Philadelphia and was part of the Donegal Bowling League. He was an antique and car collector enthusiast and enjoyed spending every summer with family and friends at Spring Gulch Campground in Lancaster County. George loved to sing and you could always count on him for a song on every occasion.
George was the beloved husband of Anna (née Doherty) Conaghan; the loving father of Frances A. Genthert (John), Linda S. Banes (the late Edward), the late Eileen M. Conaghan and George J. Conaghan, Jr. (Kelly). He was the proud grandfather of Edward Banes, Kaitlyn Siolek (Armand), Mark Banes (Peggy), Jonathan Genthert, Zachary Kline, Daniel Genthert, John Banes, Annemarie Banes, Thomas Banes, James Conaghan, and Alice Conaghan. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Conaghan (Mary) and Andrew Conaghan (Nancy), and is predeceased by his brother, Charles Conaghan, and sister, Sarah McGee (Michael).
