George DeTitta

George DeTitta, 76, of Chadds Ford, PA, passed away August 23, 2020.

Born July 10, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Amadeo Rex and Georgetta (nee Miller) DeTitta.

For many years he enjoyed working at Don Guanella.

George's smile could light up a room. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially of the Phillies, and enjoyed watching old westerns.

He was the loving uncle of  Stephen Matarazzo (Michelle) and Michele Matarazzo; and adoring great-uncle of Rex, Alexa, Madison, and Max. He will also be missed by his longtime caregivers, Vivian and Paul and everyone at Community Interactions. He was predeceased by his sister, Diane Matarazzo.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, August 27, 2020 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, 610-431-9000. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Riddle Memorial Hospital 1068 West Baltimore Pike, Media, PA 19063.

Social distancing and facial coverings are required at all times. Due to state restrictions we are limited to 25 people in the building at one time.
