George R. Hamilton

George R. Hamilton, age 86, passed away January 12, 2024.  Beloved son of the late Joseph and Marion M (nee Rogers) Hamilton.

George is survived by his loving wife, Ann M. (nee Wilkie) Hamilton; Children, Patrick M. Hamilton, Mary Jane Friel (late William J); Andrew G. Hamilton (Lori); Grandchildren, Laura (late Mike), Wesley (Emily), Sarah (JT), Zachary, and Andrew; Great-grandchildren, Luke, John, and Sadie; And many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Jack Hamilton (Nona), Joe Hamilton (Eleanor), Jimmy Hamilton (Peggy), Eddie Hamilton (Barbara), Helen Murray (Mike), and Marian Conway (Jack); and his dear granddaughter, Megan.

George was a graduate of MBS and West Catholic HS 1955. He proudly served in the air force for five years. He was a skilled carpenter by trade. He was most proud of his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He loved coaching CYO Football and was a parishioner of St. Laurence for over 60 years. He watched his beloved Eagles until the end.

Relatives and family are invited to George’s visitation Thursday, January 18^th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA, followed by his funeral mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd, Yeadon, PA.
