George Williams

George A. Williams, age 88, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on April 18, 2020. George was born in Egg Harbor, NJ.

George was predeceased by his beloved wife, Frances (nee Vandergrift) and his son George Williams, Jr. He is survived by his children John Vandergrift, Frances Opazo and Margaret
Williams, his grandchildren John Gallagher, Corine Hughes and Jennifer Majors, his great-grandchildren Natalie and Jacob Gallagher and Kayla and Carter Majors, and his sister Frances Williams.

George had a passion for fishing and bowling. One of his favorite pass times was sitting in his favorite chair watching a sci-fi movie and or playing a video game.  He loved spending time playing and creating memories with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was a city man who loved spending time at the Jersey shore. He will always be remembered as an amazing and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

George was a veteran of the United States Army. He had been employed as a Supervisor for PECO.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit famiy Saturday December 11, 2021 from 11am to 12pm followed by a memorial service at 12 noon. The donohue Funeral Home 8401 West chester pike and Lynn Blvd Upper Darby Pa. 19082.  Interment will be private.
