Geraldine Glaw Mirshak, 84, of Chadds Ford, PA formerly of North Augusta, SC, passed away on April 11, 2017.
Daughter of the late Clarence Joseph and Rose Koss Glaw, she was reared in Downer's Grove, Il.
A 32 year resident of Chadds Ford, Gerry was and remained active in numerous church, civic and charitable organizations. She was a guide at the Brandywine River Museum, a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Chadds Ford Historical Society, Chadds Ford Women's Club, Book Group, Bridge Club and the Kennett Library. Her love and devotion to her family was unsurpassed.
Geraldine was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Mirshak; loving mother of Timothy Mirshak (Agnes), James Mirshak, Steven Mirshak, Lisa Winn (Michael), and Julia O'Donnell (Michael); compassionate grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and dear sister of Florence Garrett and the late Richard Glaw.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-10:15 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382 followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM with Msgr. Carroll, celebrant. Interment will be in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brandywine River Museum, P.O. Box 141, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 or to St. Maximilian Kolbe Church at the address listed above.
