Gertrude E. Magowan

Gertrude “Trudy” E. Magowan (nee Donohue), age 93, of Havertown, PA, passed away on May, 24^th, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Gertrude Donohue (nee Sweeny). 

Trudy was the loving mother to Dorthe Richardson (George), John (Mary Alice), Norman (Kathleen), James, Patricia Fleming (Gene), the late Rosemary Tomeo (Thomas); devoted grandmother to Brian, Brandon, David, Valerie, Tommy, Katie, Frances, Jimmy, Meghan, Maggie, the late Sean; great-grandmother to Taylor an Madison; and caring sister to Gerald, Elaine Capute, the late Leo, John, and Dorthea Cullen.

Trudy was born in Philadelphia, PA, October 28^th, 1929. She Graduated from West Catholic Girls High School to go on to continue her education at Immaculata University; graduating with her Bachelor’s in Science. Trudy became a dedicated Teacher, while also creating her adored family.

Trudy was a very faithful volunteer to several organizations such as Birthright and the Girl Scouts. She also loved being a member of the choir for St. Callistus Parish. Trudy was truly a part of the community in so many ways. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends and Relatives are invited to her Funeral Mass at 11:00AM on Saturday May 3rd, 2023, at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 235 Matsonford Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
