Grace C. Ansley

Grace C. Ansley, age 82, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024 surrounded by family, friends and her beloved grandsons.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (née Derrickson) Clark.

Grace was the beloved wife of the late John Ansley; and the loving mother of the late Kevin Ansley. She is survived by her dear daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ansley; her treasured grandchildren, Will Ansley and Jack Ansley, and her caring brother, John Clark (Lee).

Grace was employed with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia School system as an educator for many years serving in a number of positions from teacher to principal. She attended both Harcum College and West Chester University for her post graduate studies.

Grace was a true animal lover and also loved to garden with her friends in her gardening club. She raised and showed many dogs over her life including English Cockers and Gordon Setters. She was also an equestrian in her younger days and loved horses. She left behind her rescue Dachshund, Rosie, and made sure that she would have a new, loving home. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Friday, October 4, 2024, 10:30 to 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by her Funeral Service, 11:00 AM. Interment at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
