Gustave J. Kohlbrenner, age 91, of Lansdowne, PA, passed away on October 19, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Gustave W. and Mae V. Kohlbrenner (nee Johnson).
Gustave was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, 149th Platoon, 6th Battalion, during the Korean War.
Gustave had been employed at Symon Manufacturing. He enjoyed baseball and football, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading, and watching the nostalgic TV shows Gunsmoke and Perry Mason.
Gustave attended his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sports games and events and made family photo albums.
Gustave was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie (nee Maerten) and his son David (the late Kitty). He is survived by his loving children John, William, Richard (Wendy), Michael, and Linda Talley (Richard). Dear grandfather of David (Marissa), Richard (Cherie), Alyssa (Cheyanne), Lindsay and Johnny and great-grandfather of Keanu, Noah, Jacob and Bella. Brother of the late Robert Kohlbrenner. Uncle of Faye, Donna, Robin and Joanie Lane.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 7:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday, October 26, 2022 8:15-9:15 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Philomena Church, 41 E. Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
