Harold L. Kinsey, 86, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away August 5, 2016 at home.
Born in August 1929 in Coatesville, PA, Harold was the son of Harold K. and Katherine Gilbert Kinsey.
He was a 1949 graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville, PA.
Harold married Genevieve Donofrio, and on May 26th of this year, they celebrated 65 years of marriage. They lived in Pennsylvania for several years and then moved to Stow, Ohio in 1969. In 1985, they moved from Ohio to live in Carmel to be near their daughter.
Harold was employed for several years at Pepperidge Farm and later worked as a machinist for the Kent Worldwide Machine Company in Stow, Ohio.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Carmel, Indiana.
He was the beloved husband of Genevieve Jane Kinsey; loving father of Sandra Renee Ladika and her husband Douglas of Carmel, IN; loving Pop-Pop of Michael Smith and Andrea Smith; dear Poppy of three great-grandchildren; and dear brother of Evelyn Yates of Citrus Heights, California, Betty Slavesky of Ocean City, NJ, and Patricia Newlin of Coatesville, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Miriam Comstock and Jean Spence; and two brothers, Robert Kinsey and John Kinsey.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Services 1:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave, Downington, PA, 610-269-3080, with interment immediately following at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
Funeral arrangements in Indiana were held through Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Boys Town of America, 200 Flanagan Blvd., P.O. Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010 or to the Humane Society of the United States, 1255 23rd Street, Suite 450, Washington, DC 20037.
