Harry Nason

February 3, 1928 — December 17, 2020

Harry Baxter Nason, beloved father, grandfather and friend died peacefully December 17, 2020 at 92 years of age. He lived a long and full life.

He was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Lower Merion High School and Haverford College where he excelled in football. Football remained a lifelong enjoyment for him.  Harry was an enthusiastic outdoorsman. Some of his happiest times were spent boating, fishing and hunting with friends and family. He worked in the Human Resources field for Sun Oil Company for 38 years in the Philadelphia area and Puerto Rico. After retirement he found a new passion and helped coach Boy’s Lacrosse for Marple Newtown, West Chester East, and Downingtown West High Schools for over 10 years. Harry believed in supporting his community and served in several local offices.

He enjoyed his role as patriarch of his family and they brought him great joy. He was always there with advice and help. Harry is predeceased by his wife, Sue Nason, and his daughter, Janet Korkuch.

He is survived by his daughter, Beth Nason (Greg Ullstrom), grandchildren Nicholas Ullstrom, Katie Spratt (Ryan) and Christopher Korkuch (Dana), their children and his companion, Marie Yost.

A remembrance will be held at a later date.
