Helen Allen

Helen Regina "Jeanie" Van Allen, age 70, of Wayne, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, January 10, 2014. Jeanie was the beloved daughter of the late John and Helen (nee McAnany) Van Allen. She was the loving sister of Jack (Joan) and Rodger (Judy) Van Allen and Mary Lou (Thomas) Colman. Loving Aunt of Jack, Jill Nestor, Mimi Tadeo, Steve, Rodger and Kate Horn, Tom, Paul, Peter and Kim Moore, Beth Colman and Tom Colman. She is also survived by 19 grandnieces and grand nephews and one great-grand nephew.



Jeanie dedicated her life to children, including her nieces and nephews and the thousands she taught at the elementary and middle school levels in her over 41 year teaching career. She taught for 36 years in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District.



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing, Tuesday 7:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday 8:30 - 9:15 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 West Lancaster Ave, Wayne, PA 610-989-9600 and to her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM, St Isaac Jogues Church, 50 West Walker Road, Wayne, PA .
