Helen M. Verdes (nee Geibler), age 80, of Havertown, PA, passed away at her home on June 20, 2014.
Helen is survived by her loving children Nicholas A. (Lynn) Verdes, Jr. of Collegeville, PA, Janet (Harry) Simonton of West Chester, PA, Helen (Marty) Heppler of Newtown Square, PA, Donna (Craig) Hennessy of Havertown, PA, Karen (Gibby) Sholette of Havertown, PA, Maryann Burgess of Havertown, PA, Judith Aurig of Broomall, PA and Jennifer (Lawrence) Chalfant of Havertown, PA. Helen is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, her brother Albert (the late Margaret) Geibler, her sister Lavina (the late Joseph) Murtha, her brother Robert (Louise) Geibler and her sister Maryanne Bristol. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Nicholas A. Verdes, Sr. and her brother Joseph Geibler.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation, Wednesday 9:30-10:20 AM, Sacred Heart Church, Manoa and Shelbourne Roads, Havertown, PA followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions is her memory to The American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated
