Helen Lois Shields

Helen Lois Shields, 77, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully after a long illness on August 21, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1942, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Helen (nee Unsworth) Shields. Lois loved shopping and spending time at the beach. She was lovingly referred to as “Wowo” by her nieces and nephews.

Lois was the loving sister of John, Dottie, and the late Robert; adoring aunt of Cheryl Vassallo (Lou), Melissa Slifer (Tim), Katie Shields (Nate), and the late Sean Shields; caring great-aunt of Louis Vassallo, Jr., Brianna Vassallo, Jaiden Slifer, Mclaren Slifer, and Caelie Slifer.

Services for Lois will be held privately at this time and a celebration of her life will be planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104, would be appreciated.
