Henry Salerno

Henry Salerno, age 74, of Springfield, PA, formerly of Rutledge, PA, passed away on October 13, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Lewis Salerno Sr. and Matilda Salerno (nee Barco). Henry served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as an Iron Worker.



He is survived by his children Patricia Pell (Peter), Stephen Salerno (Michele), Michele Giesecke, Barbra Adolph (William), 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his siblings Thomas, Katherine, Rita, Annie, Rosie and Mary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Christine A. Salerno (nee Stanbach) and his siblings Louis, Joan and Joseph.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, October 18, 2013 9:00-10:20 AM St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Church, Springfield, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
