Herman Zieger, Ph.D.

Herman Ernst Zieger, Ph.D., 84, of West Chester, PA passed away on August 23, 2019.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1935, he was the son of the late Wilbur E. and Margaret Ruth (nee Bachofer) Zieger.

Herman was a Teacher of Chemistry at Brooklyn College and was a 50 year member of the American Chemical Society. He was a Gold Life Master in Duplicate Bridge and a member of the American Contract Bridge League.

Herman was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Ann (nee Jones) Zieger; loving father of Elaine R. Hayes (David), Richard M. Zieger and Susan M. Zieger; grandfather of Timothy D. Hayes, Peter M. Hayes, Paul J. Hayes, William J. Zieger and Thomas I. Zieger; dear brother of Paul Zieger and Margaret Kinkead.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Friday, August 30, 2019 at Christ Community Church, 1190 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
