Howard Wood, Jr.

Howard S. Wood, Jr. 83, of Downingtown, PA passed away on April 19, 2013.



Born in 1929 in Carlstadt, NJ, Howard was the son of Catherine (Woods) and

Howard S. Wood, Sr., both deceased.



A graduate of Fordham University, he served honorably in the US Army during

the Korean War. Howard was a self-employed salesman most of his career.



Remembered for his friendliness and warm sense of humor, he was known as

"Grampy" to his grandchildren, who were the great love of his life.



Howard is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Meehan) Wood; his children

Jonathan M. Wood (Melissa) of Tampa, FL and Matthew P. Wood (Shannon) of

West Chester, PA; and his grandchildren, Skylar, Keira and Xavier Wood. He

is also survived by his sister, Andrea Hankins.

11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335.

Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, April 29,

2013.
