Hugh Bullard

February 11, 1924 — August 15, 2018

Hugh Myron Bullard passed away Wednesday, 15 August 2018 at the age of 94.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Hugh Max Bullard and Helen Lindsley Bullard.

While attending the University of Pennsylvania, Hugh entered active service in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1943 with service in Shanghai, China and India through the end of WWII.

He returned to the University of Pennsylvania after discharge where he received bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering.

He enjoyed successful careers with Burroughs/UNISYS and MITRE, finally retiring from the latter in 1991.

He was predeceased by his wife Elaine (Norma Elaine Pierce) and step daughter Ellen Ann Pifer.

He was survived by his children Peter Bullard (Jeanne), Victoria Woolwine (Roy), David Bullard (Dianne), and Michael Bullard (Victoria); step children Lawrence Davis (Cynthia), Megan Davis (Elaine), and Robert Davis; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and special friend Pat Turner.

He enjoyed photography and recorded his extensive travel while in uniform, on business, with family, and on cruises.

He lived at Dunwoody Community since 2002 with service on the Railroad and Social Committees.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends there and participating in the many events and activities.

He and Elaine traveled extensively and shared his experiences with the Dunwoody residents through monthly Rick Steves program presentations.

He was a member Newtown Square Presbyterian Church where he served in multiple capacities.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Dunwoody Community Resident's Reserve Fund or to your favorite charity.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Dunwoody Community Auditorium, Newtown Square, PA at 10:00 am on 14 September 2018.
