Ida Maria Palombo (nee D’Alessandro), age 87, of Broomall, PA, formerly of Overbrook, PA, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Born in Orsogna, Abruzzo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Maria Domenica (nee Pace) D’Alessandro.
Ida was a business owner of Palombo’s Deli. She loved to cook for her family and her passion was singing opera and caring for her grandchildren.
Ida was the beloved wife of Loreto Palombo; the loving mother of Donna Palombo and Lisa Palombo Favacchia; the devoted grandmother of Nicholas Troiano, Christopher Troiano, Marina Favacchia, Ariana Troiano, Alessia Favacchia and Michael Favacchia. She was predeceased by her brother, Galiano D’Alessandro.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday, November 2, 2020, 9:30 – 10:50 AM at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by her Funeral Mass, 11:00 AM. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
Wearing of facial masks and social distancing are to be observed for services and interment.
