Idamarie “Skip” Quigley (nee Stief), 91 years of Age, of Haverford, Penn Wynne and Sea Isle city, New Jersey, passed away on January 17, 2020.
She is pre-deceased by her dear parents Raymond and Helen (nee Gable) Stief, and also her granddaughter, Kristin Quigley.
Devoted wife of 68 years to James Edmond, loving mother to Craig B. Quigley (Catherine), Felice M. Quigley (Dave Bolin), Peter J. Quigley (Beth) and Paul F. Quigley (Wendy). Caring grandmother to Laura, James, John, Colleen, Megan, Morgan, MacKenzie, Ryan, Kyle and Regan; and caring great-grandmother to Ethan, Aaron and Brynn.
Skip graduated from West Catholic Girl’s High in 1946 and from Chestnut Hill College in 1950 with distinguished honors. She was Editor of Chestnut Hill College newspaper and head of the French Class. She received her Master’s Degree from West Chester University. She maintained a long career as Manager of Communications for A & P Corporation and a Remedial Reading Specialist for Montgomery County.
Skip enjoyed spending summers with her family in Sea Isle City. She was very active in the Sea Isle Yacht club and an avid tennis player. She enjoyed playing bridge, swimming, travelling, gardening and loved children.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation 10:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday January 22, 2020 at St. John Newmann Church, 380 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cem.
