Irvin Clark, Jr.

Irvin Stevenson " Steve" Clark, Jr. of West Chester, passed away on December 25, 2016. He was born in Philadelphia in 1925, the son of the late Ethel (nee Bihlmaier) and Irvin Stevenson Clark, Sr.



Steve served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and was stationed in Hawaii after Pearl Harbor as a navigator on a B-26. After returning from WWII he received his degree in accounting from Temple University.



Steve founded Star Business Systems in 1953 where he worked until his retirement in 1994.



He was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Berwyn were he served as Reader and Chairman of the Board.



Steve is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan (nee Burt) Clark; his daughters Melanie (Mac) Kirkpatrick, Glenmoore, PA and Virginia (Greg Nepstad) Clark, Nemo, SD; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Dickson.



A memorial service of immediate family has been held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Steve's name to First Church of Christ Scientist, 81 Cassatt Ave, Berwyn, PA 19312
