Jack A. Howarth

Jack A. Howarth, 91, of West Chester, PA passed away on March 20, 2023.

Born in 1931, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James W. and Gladys (née Speckter) Howarth.

Jack was the beloved husband, for 61 years, of Jane J. (née Johnston) Howarth; loving father of Donna Sadowitz (Chris), Jack Jr., Brenda Bellinger (Brian), Jennifer Bohs (Dennis) and the late Steven; proud grandfather of Jessica, Daniel, Michelle, Naomi, Alexis, Nicole, Steven, Emily, Allison, Evan, Benjamin, Ashley, Melanie and Lindsey; great-grandfather of Athenia, Joey and Josey; dear brother of Carol Miller.

Jack was a graduate of Collingdale High School and served honorably in the US Coast Guard. He worked for Bell Telephone for over 30 years.

A true family man, Jack loved hosting family gatherings. He had a real green thumb and enjoyed growing his vegetable garden.

He was an avid wood worker, who often made things for his grandkids. A model car collector, he also enjoyed building the model airplanes and boats.

He was very active, coaching the West Chester Flames Softball, East Side Little League and was the assistant coach for West Chester East High School Softball.
