Jacob W. “Jake” Steinmetz, age 77, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2021.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Jacob C. and Clara (nee Lloyd) Steinmetz.
Jake served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a lineman for the PECO Energy Company. Jake loved to go fishing and being outdoors with nature. He was an avid reader as well as a history buff.
Jake was the loving brother of John Steinmetz (Jo Anne), Joan McDonald, Linda McDonald, Mary Cooper (James), Margaret Curran (Joe), Brenda Rick (the late Tony) and the late Charles Steinmetz. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Friday, May 7, 2021, 9:00 – 10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by his Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
