Jacqueline Bergels

Jacqueline M. “Jacquie” Bergels, age 75, of Springfield, PA, passed away on February 13, 2022.

Born in Darby, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Eugenia (née Story) Logan.

Jacquie was the beloved wife of Michael C. Bergels; the loving mother of Michele France (Martin), Michael Bergels (Jennifer), Christine Quinn (Patrick), Amy Bergels, Daniel Bergels (Maggie), and the late Matthew Joseph Bergels.  She was the devoted grandmother of Bridget (Dave), Mickey (Abbey), Ryan, Kaitlyn, Emily, Conor, Abby, Logan, Maddie, Lainy, and the great-grandmother of Jack, Ben, Riley, and Mickey Lee. Jacquie is also survived by her sister, Maureen Sabatino (Tom), Jay Logan (Barbara), and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Kaeser (the late Donald) and Geraldine Palecko (Jon).

Jacquie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Grandmom, Mom Mom, and Gigi. She grew up in Springfield and returned to her childhood home to further raise her growing family. As a nurse, Jacquie lived a life of service to others. She was always there to lend a hand, say a prayer, or offer an ear to listen. Besides time spent spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren you could find her visiting with her siblings, planting in her gardens, baking, crafting, or on the hunt for the next addition to her expansive assortment of holiday decorations. Those lucky enough to have known Jacquie can attest that her generosity and thoughtfulness knew no bounds. Her smile illuminated every room she entered, especially those filled with family and her lifelong friends. Jacquie was our gift from God.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 9:00 – 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA  19064, followed by her Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM.  Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
