Jacqueline Massaro

August 1, 1935 — May 11, 2014

Jacqueline B. "Jackie" Massaro (nee Oates), age 78, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on May 11, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine Oates (nee Tighe). Jackie was a 1953 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Butler Oil, now known as Meenan Oil.



Jackie was known as Aunt Jackie and was an Aunt to everyone. She rented a home at 4010 Pleasure Avenue in Sea Isle, NJ for many years, where her home was open to everyone. Many memories of fun and happy times were spent there. She loved kids and was known for her generosity in helping family and friends and keeping the family traditions going.



She was predeceased by her son Michael Massaro and her brothers Franny Oates (the late Joan) and William Oates. She is survived by her grandson Michael Rocco Massaro, her siblings Patricia Welch (the late Al), Joan Hayes (the late Marty), Joey Cassidy (the late Ed) and Barbara McLaughlin (Mike) and many nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Monday, May 19, 2014 9:00-9:50 AM St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill and to her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 would be appreciated.
