Jacqueline C. Pitt (nee Martin), 81 of Chadds Ford, PA passed away on October 14, 2014 at Chester County Hospital surrounded by her loving family.



Born in Reading, PA, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late William and Caroline (Molony) Martin.



Jacqueline graduated Valedictorian of her class from Muhlenberg Township High School, Laureldale, PA and received her Bachelor's Degree from West Chester State Teacher's College.



She was a kindergarten teacher for 26 years at Green Ridge Elementary School in the Penn Delco School System.



Jacqueline loved doing crossword puzzles, cross stitching and boating. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.



She was the beloved wife for 60 years of Joseph E. Pitt, Jr.; loving mother of Nancy Snyder (Thomas) of Phoenixville, PA, Barbara Macdonald of Chester Springs, PA and Joseph E. Pitt, III (Jeanne Lynn) of Virginia Beach, VA; loving grandmother of Michael, Daniel and Stephanie Snyder, Scott and Craig Macdonald and Joseph A., Tyler and Megan Pitt; great-grandmother of Sophia Rose Shaffer and Peyton Rogers; dear sister of William Martin, Jr, Patricia Kissinger and the late Donald Martin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 12:30-2:00 p.m. and to her Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 18, 2014 at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
